Siapakah Maher Zain?

Nama Maher Zain sekarang sudah dikenal di Indonesia. Dia ialah penyanyi pria spesifik lagu-lagu religi Islam. Lagu “Insya Allah” nan menghantarkan dia terkenal di Indonesia. Duetnya dengan Fadly vokalis dari grup band Padi pun diterima oleh masyarakat di Indonesia.

Teks lagu barat islami miliknya memang sangat menyentuh. Lirik lagu nan penuh dengan cerita kasih Tuhan dan segala permasalahan dalam hidup, sangat duniawi. Lagu-lagu islami nan dimainkan oleh orang bule di Indonesia sporadis terdengar. Yang ada juga hanya satu grup lagu Islami nan terdiri dari orang-orang Amerika, Debu. Mereka menemani pendengarnya di acara-acara nan berhubungan dengan keagamaan dan sering muncul di bulan puasa.

Maher Zain ialah penyanyi islami pria nan berasal dari Lebanon namun sudah lama menetap di Swedia dan Amerika Serikat. Maher Zain lahir di Lebanon pada 16 Maret 1981.

Maher Zein pertama kali membuat album bertajuk “Thank You Allah” nan dirilis pada tahun 2009 dan idalamnya terdapat 13 judul lagu. Lagu-lagunya bukan saja berbahasa Inggris namun juga ada nan menggunakan bahasa Perancis, Arab, Turki, Indonesia dan Melayu. Menurut Maher Zein lagu nan paling berkesan ialah lagu Thank you Allah nan mewakili perjalanan dari hidupnya.

Jika dilihat dari liriknya, lagu ini mengajarkan kita buat selalu ingat kepada Allah SWT. Segala sesuatu nan terjadi pada diri kita walaupun sesulit apa pun niscaya Allah akan menuntun kita ke jalan nan benar. Jika kita mempunyai masalah jangan sampai kita menyerah, namun berserah diri kepada Allah kemudian berdoa dan berusaha niscaya nanti semuanya akan mempunyai jalan dan terselesaikan. Dan ini lagu nan terakhir ialah lagu bertajuk “Number One For Me” nan ada di album terbaru Maher Zein.
