Kata Bijak English Tentang Doa

Bila kita sedikit merenung, maka kita akan menemukan betapa banyaknya kecenderungan di antara kita sebagai warga dunia. Salah satunya ialah dari kata bijak. Ada kecenderungan cara pandang ketika kata bijak itu disandingkan. Ambil contoh kata bijak English , bahasa Indonesia, dan bahasa Jawa.

Ternyata setelah dianalisis, pengalaman hayati dan budaya dapat menjadi alat mempertemukan kecenderungan itu. Kita memiliki cara pandang nan sama terhadap beberapa masalah atau tantangan nan kita hadapi. Cuma cara mengutarakannya saja nan berbeda.



Ragam Kata Bijak English

Kata bijak nan berbentuk peribahasa dapat dijadikan tolok ukur betapa kita benar-benar hayati di bawah matahari nan sama. Selain sebagai bentuk pengayaan bahasa dan budaya (Collie and Slater: 1987:3-6), kata bijak itupun dapat menjadi alat buat bahan pedagogi di kelas (Duppenthale, 1989).

Lewat pedagogi di kelas, kata bijak tersebut bisa menjadi bahan renungan bagi generasi muda. Dengan demikian mereka akan memahami budaya internasional dan nantinya dapat lebih menghargai orang lain (Britten and Fahsi in S. L. McKay, 2004).

Ada begitu banyak kata bijak English, bahasa Indonesia, dan bahasa Jawa nan memiliki makna nan sama. Coba bandingkan dan renungkan kata-kata bijak dari ketiga bahasa tersebut.

Ambil contoh no. 6. Kata bijak English menggunakan susu sebagai metaforanya sedangkan bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Jawa menggunakan beras. Hal ini tak terlepas dari makanan pokok kita. Tapi coba perhatikan no. 12. Ketiga bahasa menggunakan mulut sebagai bentuk metaforanya. Samakan? Kita memang sama. Tapi cara kita mengekspresikannya saja nan agak berbeda.
